Why We Don’t We Want to Know How Our Fave Junk Food Affects our Bodies?

You see that book in the pic? It has 223 pages. The reason I purchased it us because I was in Harmony Natural Foods and I flipped thru the pages and liked what I read. I had never taken olive leaf extract before. But I eat olives and olive oil so I thought great... Let's just eat the entire tree and be done with it.

I didn't have time to read the entire book in the store so I purchased the book and a bottle of Olive Leaf Complex. While at check out I went ahead a grabbed my first ever bag of Flackers. Oh you've never heard of Flackers? Me neither. So I of course standing at checkout I read every word in the front and back of the bag. Hmmm...Just 3 ingredients: Flax seeds, apple cider vinegar and sea salt. Sounds strong and sturdy.

So I got to my truck and before diving into my Flackers, I did what everyone does before putting health foods in their mouths, I Googled it. After a large number of articles and you tube videos. I felt it was safe to eat this 3 ingredients thing that was promising good health. And while I grazed on my 10 Flackers because that's a portion size, I started reading my book because I'm not taking that health supplement until I have read those 223 pages. I learned alot. Very good.

Now you see that box of pound cake mix in the pic. I know it's junk food. It has one goal.. make Kim happy. I refuse to read a single word. As a matter fact I cannot tell you the brand. I just saw the box at the grocery store and my brain told my pudgy fingers to grab it! I am not even going to read the cooking directions. I am pretty sure that I need eggs, water and oil. I think 350 is the right temp. Doesn't matter. And if I can't find my loaf pan I am just gonna use that dented up muffin pan or that heart-shaped cake pan I purchased many many years ago around Valentine's Day. Hmmm. I am gonna let it bake for exactly 30 minutes while I am on Pinterest and after that I that I will just eat the done part and toss the rest. I don't need all those calories.

I wonder whether I should spend those 30 minutes online reading about how each ingredient in the cake mix will impact my health.
